Karen Gathany lives in Birmingham, Alabama with her boyfriend Blake. She graduated with a BFA in graphic design from Auburn University in 2008. She especially enjoys brand identity, editorial design, and watercolor illustration.

Helen Keller book

This experimental/conceptual book shares the story of Helen Keller's incredible life. Through color and texture I sought to display the struggles and successes that defined the life of this great woman. The book is printed on textured paper, with braille embossed on the cover, and features several scanned textural illustrations.
